A Smirkling is any kid six to nine years old who needs an easy introduction to the summer circus camp experience before leaping in for a full week or two away from home

2 Magical Days
Smirkling Camp begins at 8:30 am on Friday, and concludes the following day, Saturday with a circus demonstration at 3:30 pm. There is no day camp option because the overnight stay, a gentle introduction to sleeping away from home, is an integral part of the camp experience. In two full days kids get a real summer Circus Smirkus camp experience, complete with a theme dinner and pie day.

A Special Sampling of Skills
Smirklings get a chance to try all the basic circus skills: manipulations (scarves and spinning plates – the precursors to juggling), balance (low wire and rolling globe), aerials (Spanish Web, Lyra, and static trapeze), tumbling (acrobatics), and lots and lots of clowning.

They even get a chance to "pie" the coaches and counselors!

Of course, our usual strict safety procedures are always in full force.

Which Camp is Best for You? Choose from 2-day to 2-week residential sessions for ages 6 to 18, with beginning to advanced skillls. Smirkling Camp (Dates) Two-day (one-night) introductory sleepaway camp for kids 6 to 9 years old. Smirkus Camp - Sessions I, II & III (Dates) 1- and 2-week sleep-away sessions for campers ages 8 to 16 with beginning to advanced skill levels. Smirkus Camp - Sessions IV (Dates) For ages 10 to 17 who have previously attended Circus Camp for at least two camp sessions, or have equivalent skills. Intermediate Camp (Dates) Campers with intermediate to advanced skills, ages 12 to 18, apply for 32 spaces. Advanced Camp (Dates) Campers ages 14 to 18 with advanced circus skills audition for 28 spaces.
