Circus Smirkus has long been committed to making camp available for as many children as possible, regardless of ability to pay.

Scholarships help families for whom payment of the full tuition is not possible. This program is open to all family configurations regardless of race, religion, or socioeconomic background.

The scholarship program is funded almost entirely by private donations. If you know of anyone who might like to contribute to the fund, please let us know.

About financial aid:

- Scholarships are awarded based on demonstrated need and availability of funds. There are no full scholarships. We regret that we may not be able to meet all requests for assistance.

- The scholarship application is not an application to Smirkus Camp. You must register for camp in addition to filling out the scholarship application. If you cannot send the minimal deposit of $75 with your camp application, please contact our office to request a waiver or extension: camp@smirkus.org or toll-free tel 800-532-7443.

- A child must be enrolled (not on the waitlist) at the time of the Awards Committee meeting in order to be considered for aid.

- A copy of the applicant's most recent Federal Income Tax Return Form (1040 or 1040A) must be submitted with the scholarship application.

Which Camp is Best for You? Choose from 2-day to 2-week residential sessions for ages 6 to 18, with beginning to advanced skillls. Smirkling Camp (Dates) Two-day (one-night) introductory sleepaway camp for kids 6 to 9 years old. Smirkus Camp - Sessions I, II & III (Dates) 1- and 2-week sleep-away sessions for campers ages 8 to 16 with beginning to advanced skill levels. Smirkus Camp - Sessions IV (Dates) For ages 10 to 17 who have previously attended Circus Camp for at least two camp sessions, or have equivalent skills. Intermediate Camp (Dates) Campers with intermediate to advanced skills, ages 12 to 18, apply for 32 spaces. Advanced Camp (Dates) Campers ages 14 to 18 with advanced circus skills audition for 28 spaces.
