Sterling College
The campus of Sterling College in scenic Craftsbury Common, Vermont is home to Smirkus Camp each summer. Just 25 miles from Stowe and 65 miles from Burlington, Sterling College is nestled in the hills of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont on 100+ acres of fields and wooded areas.

Lodging
Campers are housed with their counselors in the three two-story dormitory buildings. The rooms can accommodate two to four campers, depending on room size, and campers are assigned roommates based on age. We try to honor all reasonable roommate requests received in a timely manner.

Big Top Tents
The circus training and classes take place under our European big top tents giving our campers a real circus experience.

Meals
All meals are prepared and served in the Dining Hall by Sterling College cook staff. Three hearty, kid-friendly meals are served daily. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided as well. Our emphasis is on serving healthy foods, including plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Occasionally, we treat the campers to a special dessert or "kids choice" dinner. Vegetarian options are available at every meal. Campers on a vegan, kosher, gluten or wheat-free, or other special diet will need to bring some food to camp to supplement what the cook staff can provide for them.

Laundry
Laundry facilities are located on campus for the use of camp staff only. Campers should bring adequate clothing for their entire stay, including plenty of clean socks. Kids staying for a layover will have supervised use of the laundry facility.

Which Camp is Best for You? Choose from 2-day to 2-week residential sessions for ages 6 to 18, with beginning to advanced skillls. Smirkling Camp (Dates) Two-day (one-night) introductory sleepaway camp for kids 6 to 9 years old. Smirkus Camp - Sessions I, II & III (Dates) 1- and 2-week sleep-away sessions for campers ages 8 to 16 with beginning to advanced skill levels. Smirkus Camp - Sessions IV (Dates) For ages 10 to 17 who have previously attended Circus Camp for at least two camp sessions, or have equivalent skills. Intermediate Camp (Dates) Campers with intermediate to advanced skills, ages 12 to 18, apply for 32 spaces. Advanced Camp (Dates) Campers ages 14 to 18 with advanced circus skills audition for 28 spaces.
